Author Barbra Mann Wall describes
her article, which uses oral history interviews to give voice to
retired African nurse leaders, who describe what nursing practice
and education meant to them during and after periods of
colonization in Africa from the 1950s to the 1970s. Their stories
offer alternative concepts of nursing identity formation and
professionalism.
