Rohini Paul is the primary author
of this month’s CE, “Sustaining Pressure Ulcer Best Practices in a
High-Volume Cardiac care Environment.” As one of the world’s
largest and busiest cardiac hospitals, NHCH experienced a sharp
increase in surgical procedures in 2009 as well as a rise in
hospital acquired pressure ulcers. As a result, staff embarked on
an ambitious plan to reduce these occurrences, and were
surprisingly successful.
